Rising Together! the 15th edition of the AWID International Forum will happen very soon, from December 2 to 5 in Bangkok. In today’s world feminist tech is a key part of our movements, that is why we are happy to share with you some of the spaces, convenings and conversations that Numun Fund is planning in collaboration with our constellation of partners in conjunction with the AWID Forum.
Trueque
Is a space for funds and the communities we support to explore and deepen our understanding of the intersection of tech in our activism, and its impact on our movements through peer exchange and learning. Numun will be stewarding the 2nd. Trueque before the AWID Forum in collaboration with 20 feminist/women’s funds and our grantee-partners from all over the world. Sessions are led by participants and include feminist approaches to safety and security, environmental justice and tech, feminist tech infrastructures of care, tech and crisis preparedness, among others.
Moving Money, Building Movements
Numun Fund is partnering to host a conversation on “Funding at the intersections: Strengthening movements through feminist tech” at this convening to take place on December 1st before the AWID Forum. We hope to host a space for frank and regenerative conversations on challenges and potential pathways forward to fund at the intersections of tech, gender justice and movement organising.
Feminist Tech Gardens
Come spend some time at our gardens during the Forum! two cozy, participatory and nurturing spaces where you will connect with activists, find community and resources to explore, nurture and reclaim the digital and technological space with hope and resistance.
